Abilities/Powers
Technomancy: Xeria is a prodigally gifted technopath. What this means is that, given a few bits of scrap metal and a couple of tools, she can create a drone with a functioning camera and laser turret in something like thirty seconds. Given more time and tools, she is capable of creating astounding things. The only thing limiting her is knowledge; she was unable to create her multiversal jump drive until Archanon explained what he knew about multiversal theory.
Mage-Gift: Xeria is a powerful but reluctant mage. Mostly, she uses magic as limited telekinesis for delicate parts she doesn't want to risk doing by hand and a powerful second sight that allows her vision that is essentially 3rd person omniscient in its range.
Physical Combat: Xeria is proficient at hand-to-hand combat but not gifted, preferring to lift an opponent helplessly into the air or swarm them with drones, trap the floor, slap restraining badges on them, or something of the sort.
Equipment
Protective Bodysuit: Xeria's blue bodysuit is, despite its appearance, very capable of protection. Designed to keep her protected when tinkering, it works just as well in battle. It interlinks with her drones, can take direction by neural interface, can shift mass around to pad impact locations, generate a gas mask in an instant, and even support Xeria's motions to give the effect of added strength. She's quite proud of it.
Baton: Xeria's baton is capable of projecting kinetic energy, projecting superheated plasma bursts and constructs, and even capable of causing an opponent to hover helplessly in midair by manipulating the natural flows of energy around their body. Archanon was highly impressed when he watched it in action.
Drones: Xeria routinely carries a selection of collapsed drones that expand out to a sphere when activated. They can extend cameras, miniature arms, and laser turrets and fly without visible means of propulsion. They also interlink with each other and Xeria's jumpsuit and are extensions of her ships' AI.
Grab Bag: Xeria keeps a random selection of other bits of tech on her person. They are not always useful, but she can usually come up with something for them to do.
The Jenner: Xeria's space cruiser. Fitted out with weaponry of her own design, several AI including separate ones for food, the medical bay, and for running the ship while she's away. Automatons controlled by the AI deal with repairs, gardening, and other such concerns. A large section is set aside for her lab, where something is always in the process of being built or upgraded. The ship contains her pride and joy, a high-powered multiversal jump drive that Archanon helped her perfect.
Quirks/Tidbits/Trivia
- Xeria loves her ship. It's her baby. Do not damage it if you value your species/gender/identity.
- Although she is a talented mage, Xeria still doesn't like using magic. It feels too much like cheating.
- Even though Archanon considers teaching Xeria the basics of transmultiversal travel a relatively small thing - she was pretty close already - Xeria will never have paid him back enough, to her mind.
- Xeria actually likes Archa. Their personalities are almost totally opposite, but that's half the fun.
- Xeria is not sure whether to be proud or disturbed at her Pie-Bots. That's alright, though, because usually their targets end up settling on scared stiff.
- One of these days, Xeria is going to get herself killed in her relentless inventing. That's alright, though, because the explosion will be glorious.
- Besides, Archanon gave her a Respawn Ring. Something else she'll never be able to thank him enough for. And he still wonders why she'd even take up magic again for him?
