Data
Name: Thorn Noson
Age: 21
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Occupation: Part-Time Mage, Traveller
Appearance
Being a tall 185cm and slightly underweight at 70kg, Thorn is not the strongest or most powerful person. Her general attire is a long violet and black dress, which has been modified and repaired heavily over the years. Her left arm of the dress is long, going past a gloved hand, while the other is cut at the shoulder like a tank top, giving a slightly unbalanced feel. Her right wrist has what looks like a high tech black watch which is unmovable. Black hair streaked with traces of white, purple and blue cover her face, and extend past her shoulders at the back, covering a scar on the back of her neck. The eyes are a dark blue. Around her neck are two dogtags, one saying Black Smith and the other James Noson.
Personality
Thorn is a bit of an oddity, keeping a blank face to withhold her emotions. However, once you get to know her, she can be quite a talker. Always suggesting alternative plans and ideas, she tries to get the best advantage with her group. She holds her friends in the highest regard, even if they do something silly. Getting to that elite list of friends is another thing entirely though, as she is very wary of unknowns and new people.
Background
Thorn's universe is made up of many worlds. Many people live in these worlds. Of course, most of them are unaware of these other worlds. But to the rare person who does, they are known as Travellers.
However, there were problems inside the group of travellers. Some of their fellow travellers thought they were higher than normal humans, that they should rule the universe without them. And so, distrust grew throughout and eventually, words were spoken that were better left unsaid. And in the end, a war against travellers broke out. It was simple: Choose a side, or die.
This is where details get sketchy. During the war, someone tried to figure out a way to make themselves better, stronger, immortal. They thought that they had the answer to becoming gods themselves. Of course, they were wrong. Nothing lasts forever. But being the fools they were at the time, they decided to take out their own souls.
And so, viruses were born. The effects were catastrophic. They were an abomination on the land. Instead of their lives becoming infinity, they were shortened. And then they had the urge to infect all others, in order to find their own soul that they had lost.
Today, their universe is near destruction. 4 planets have already been taken over. And the people on these worlds don’t even know it…
Information about Thorn varies from place to place, especially during her teenage years (see below). Only official facts have been placed in here.
Thorn lives in Delta in a universe usually known as Emblem. Delta is (and this is being nice) a hellhole. The government is controlled by heads of business, and what little of what humanity is left is tracked with electronic devices and IDs. Computers not connected to a government tracking network are banned, punishable by death. Jobs are impossible to get, as the only employers are the people on the board. And if you haven’t got enough money, you die on the streets.
Thorn lived with her mother, her brother and two orphans that parent’s were killed. She grew up here and was taught by her mother about the history of the world, math and English. She was also with her brother taught magic at a young age. Unfortunately, her mother died along with one of her adopted sisters when rule number 99 came into affect, saying all people over 13 years of age must participate in the war against terror for a year. Terrified, the remaining family of James, Black and Thorn were forced to run away, using technology that Black was working on to block their signals from the government.
Her teenage life is unknown, as the government has completely lost all logs from that date. Of what I can obtain, she may have moved to a rebel alliance gang who would have protected the group. Sketchy data explains that she was involved in 3 hit and run attacks on buildings, possibly more, and various assassination attempts with her group. Black, her future boyfriend, was found much more regularly, being personally responsible for two successful assassination attempts, and in various operations. He was also responsible for creating new firmware for the underground gang’s watches, which the government could not track. The code is still to this day unbroken. It appears that James only appeared in one operation, however, this may have been to stealth.
The last written log of her activities was halfway during her 17th year. She would turn up on her 20th birthday on another world called Darkeyes, without any memory of her previous life, along with TJ, a traveller with the power of time. Her adventures through this time were not chronicled; however, a fellow traveller that joined her group shortly afterwards assures me that she regained all her memories. She seemed to have flown with travellers Merc and Anya who clamed that they used to travel with Black, her boyfriend. The group however, were unable to find Black, nor James and during their travels were attacked by viruses, in particular a nasty man who calls himself “Monday”.
Thorn was sucked into Tandy after a spell cast by her ally TJ. Supposedly the teleportation was meant to take the group to Black, but the spell was interrupted by a surprise attack. Now with no allies, she has to find a way back to her universe… unless Black is already here…
Weapons and Abilities
Weapons: Emblem of Dark, a short black one-hand sword. She usually channels magic through this item.
Abilities in short: Is able to use the darkness as a medium. Also a mage, specialising in light and elemental attacks.
Usual techniques used: Night vision is exactly what it says on the tin. Thorn is able to see through dark areas and in pitch black without any trouble. On more than one occasion, Thorn has needed to black out a room using her powers to blind enemies in order to escape (or if they have seriously pissed her off, attack).
Energy balls are commonly used by storing energy in a small space and unleashing it in a physically jarring hit. It takes a while to charge, but will usually be destructive enough to stop an enemy for a few seconds and slow them down.
Thanks to her status as the welder of emblems, she has a small aura around her body, which prevents small amounts of damage. The shield does not regenerate, nor is useful for anything for more than one life-threatening attack, the kinetic energy is still passed onto her and only serves as a last resort if she is hit, yet has saved her life more than once in surprise attacks. This aura is slowly used up while performing magic.
The watch on her left wrist is basically a super-powerful computer. It is attuned to her voice and her voice only, is shock, water, fire and any other element proof, as well as being unbreakable (sans of a hit with something stronger that diamond.) Capable of storing an almost limitless amount of items (certain rules apply, such as no ability to duplicate, or living organisms) and can measure body functions and personal energy levels while still functioning as a fully functional personal computer, all backed up with the strength of WatchOS Version 53.1 - Black edition. Oh, and did I mention that it "formats" itself if Thorn dies or it is removed?
“Endgame” is a finishing attack that is rarely used due to the fact that it drains Thorn’s energy to near-death levels, taking her magical aura and physical energy. It consists of her drawing energy from herself and the surrounding environment, and unleashing them in an energy attack which changes depending on the caster and weapons used in the attack. The largest “Endgame” created to date was by another person using only 3 emblem swords (fire, darkness and time). The resulting explosion was enough to destroy the high-school gym the fight was in, and set fire to a building close to the blast. The caster was in a coma for 4 days.
Final Info
Advantages: Being a mage, she can easily get rid of most melee people at long range. Combine this with a quick sword in her left hand and she’s pretty much set up for most situations. She is also protected for the first part of a battle from blows, which may prove invaluable to surviving. Practicality is her game, and she will usually do things the easier and quicker way.
Disadvantages: Mages use up their energy levels quite quickly, so a long battle will sap her, maybe enough to end a match. She also has to voice her attacks for the most part, giving opponents some leeway with knowing her next move. Remembering every single spell is hard as well, so some circumstances may require her to search her watch for the correct spell, which could prove fatal in the middle of a battle. And for the most part, she has no idea about Tandy, so some more insane opponents are going to confuse her to no end.

- Thorn is actually a main character of a game that CorruptDropbear was creating before he eventually grew bored and forgot about it. This is why she exhibits some RPG elements in her attacks and magic system.
- She has so far never met another avatar outside of a fight.
- The hotel room she resides in is room 3767, or on a keypad, DROP.
