  • Age: 96
  • Sex: Male/None
  • Race: Soul-Infused Mechanized Unit -- Previously Caucasian
  • Height: 6'7"
  • Weight: 1992 Pounds [8,860.85746 Newtons]
  • Skin Color: White Armor with black under layer. Trim Varies based on Mood/Desire for Stealth.
  • Eye: Varies based on mood, will always be that color, but will dim if hiding.

Abilities

  • Transmutable Appendage: Googol's right arm is composed of nanites encased in a semi-permeable synthetic skin. They reshape their formation based on Googol's desires into anything from a blade to a flamethrower. The more complex the formation, the smaller it will be.
  • Rocket Boots: Because what robot would be complete without them? These have a separate power source so as not to drain the power that keeps Googol going. The can sustain both hovering and mid-speed flight for a time which varies depending on the use.
  • Wi-Fi: Googol is in constant connection to the internet. This allows him or Wilhelm (see below) to study up on techniques, unknown objects, and just about anything else they could need in mid-battle.
  • Energized Limbs: Googol's limbs are held onto the main body by powerful electromagnetic beams. They allow minor bending but typically stay straightened, leaving bending to the join-connectors. This not only makes it impossible to decapitate him or remove his limbs via weapons, but any weapons attempting to do so may very well be warped or melted in the attempt. Should they ever become immersed in water, the magnets kick into overdrive, forcing the limbs to retract together, leaving him shortened but still semi-functional.
  • Second Opinion: Googol's Brother, Wilhelm, nearly died in a freak accident. Googol managed to upload his memories and personalities into a computer, which he has since moved into his own robotic body. Wil is fully autonomous in thought, but is unable to affect the body unless Googol relinquishes control or is somehow incapacitated.

Inventory

Any devices or weapons Googol needs can be replicated by his mutable arm, aside from a small arc welder and some tools which he keeps in a side compartment.

Weaknesses

Googol has an extremely resiliant inner layer that protect against most attacks that manage to get past him metal exterior. This leaves him less vulnerable to electricity or similar energies than most robots, but they still tend to stun him. In addition, water can screw up the magnets holding his limbs in place. Should the enemy be able to dunk him, he'll be mostly helpless unless he manages to escape from the major body of water.

Backstory

An unrecognized genius in an alternate universe Earth, science was already centuries above regular Earth's levels. Jonothan and his brother Wilhelm were experts in robotics and computer engineering, but were lost amid a sea of similarly talented scientists of the day. Annoyed at their lack of recognition, the two attempted to open rifts to other planes of existence. It was during these experiments that Wilhelm was critically injured by a strange beast that nearly escaped through an early success. Using experimental (and illegal) techniques he had been researching in secret for years, Jonothan managed to transport his brother's soul into a computer. At first his brother was appalled by the implications of that, but the resulting immortality has since changed his mind about that.

Continuing his experiments 'alone', Jonothan finally managed to get a successful wormhole-gate open. Unfortunately he opened to yet another hostile environment, this time bathing himself in a lethal dose of radiation. Knowing he would die soon, Jonothan managed to upload his own soul into a worker android in their shop. The authorities, finally discovering their actions due to the massive radiation spike in the building, found the corpse of Jonathan and pronounced him dead.

Having escaped capture in his android body, Jonothan set to work building a specialized body to suit his needs. After nearly a decade, he had succeeded in building an extremely advanced (to us... it was slightly above average for the time) robot with storage for both himself and for Wilhelm. Unfortunately, this second transfer wracked his soul and managed to wipe most of his memory. He woke up a week later inside of his new body to be greeted by Wilhelm, who had been moved into the body by computer chip. Wilhelm brought him to terms with what had happened to them and told him they needed to leave this world. Traveling back to their old lab, Wilhelm managed to talk Jonothan through the process of getting their machine up and running again. With their new body, they could handle nearly any hazardous environment, but they were lucky enough to come out on 'modern day' Earth. Since then, they've attempted to keep a low profile by mingling with the magical community and gained the new nickname 'Googol', both for his seemingly endless knowledge (thanks, Google!) and because of the pun created with his surname. This world is much better suited to them... so basic, so normal, so unfettered by the oppressive science and government of their time.
